Crompton Building Blocks II is the second sound installation and long-form improvisation at Worcester’s The White Room, a gallery located in Crompton Loom Works. The evening will begin with a sound installation by Martin Freeman and Michael Rosenstein followed by a long-form collective improvisation by Marie Carroll (koto), Jesse Collins (trumpet), Martin Freeman (DC motors, zither, electronics), Mackenzie Kourie (electronics, tapes, found objects, trumpet), Lemuel Marc (trumpet), Mickey O'Hara (electronics), Vic Rawlings (cello, electronics), Michael Rosenstein (amplified surfaces and distressed field recordings), Rebecca Schrader (cello) and Abdul Sherzai (electronics.)
The musicians will be distributed throughout the space, performing interactively with the evolving sound environment. The audience is encouraged to move about the space and come and go as they please.
